Thoughts are coming and going faster than I can write them down. This is exactly how I want to feel right now.
I've spent the last six hours of today, and the last two days polishing my first intermediate c++ class assignment. It deals with arrays. I feel satisfaction right now. I just realized that's not an emotion I normally update this journal to report, but yes.

The assignment is to use a character array to work with seven functions;

Write a C++ program that repeatedly asks for and gets a string from user and presents the following menu of operations on the string until user chooses to exit:

1. Search for a character in the string

2. Change a character within the string

3. Display the first n characters of the string

4. Display the last n character of the string

5. Display all characters that lie between two given indices

6. Null the string

7. Exit

The past two days I have spent time on nothing else but this project, and it is finally COMPLETE.

I have tested every function, added error messages and cleared things up.

At least that is what I thought, until I got to some fiddly little shit problem. This should be SO simple, and yet it cost me a full hour's work. Such a small thing should not be taking so long, so I'm taking the rest of the night off. (I think I shall anyway, who knows when inspiration will kick in)

Basically the problem is this:
Null the string, as in change what it holds to zero. If the string already holds zero, cout "String remained unchanged".

my method was first to try to stuff char str[] into a char toosmall[] that only held the null character '\0'. Sorta like purposely overflowing the char [], with strcpy();

but maybe it would actually by more helpful to use strcpy_s(dest,SIZE,srce); to do that...
But that didn't work.

My next plan was to try to test for a bool whitespace which would be true when nul[] was equal to '\0' or " " or 0 or null
the only one of which worked was nul[] = " ";

but then i had hell comparing it to str[]
I mean, I know that str[] only holds the address of the command in ascii format

so I thought 'oh! I know, I'll cin an actual [Enter] keystroke, and compare it to the nul[] which equals " "'

but now I'm realizing that that doesn't make any sense, why would comparing the addresses of two commands work.

God damn I can't get enough of this pairing. It's straight.. but then it's still gay!

Even Warden/Mistress is hot to me, and I used to hate straight pairings. This fandom is fucking with my head.

Plus, there really ought to be some kind of relationship between how huge the fandom can get compared with how many

episodes ACTUALLY EXIST. I mean eleven episodes of eleven minutes each? I have like a hundred and fifty fucking

pictures (plus nine fanfics) and those are just the ones i liked enough to save. I'm currently on page THREE

He emitted a low groan to which she answered with several more blows. The scene reflected in his yellow lenses and he pumped in time to the man's moans of pain. She tore the man's hair toward her crotch and he opened his mouth eagerly.

The camera zoomed in on her thick cock sliding in and out of the man's lips. She forced it far into his throat and the Warden increased the pace of his thrusts when he saw the man coughing into her pubic hair, his eyes squeezed shut in concentration. Abruptly, she ripped his head away from her groin and walked around his prone form to his perfectly positioned butt. Her manicured nails dug into his love handles when she sank her prick in.

The camera cut to a more revealing angle and the warden tightened his grip, jerking furiously to the penetration. His fingers gripped the edge of his desk for support as he almost fell out of his seat, strangling his dick so hard it was almost painful.
